About Crisis Caregivers

"The Church Has Left The Building"

CHAPLAIN DEFINITION

It is vital that we have the same understanding of what a Chaplain is.  By definition, a chaplain is simply a "minister in the workplace" and can therefore have an extremely wide range of environments from full time chaplaincy to part time disaster workers. They can serve in schools, congregations, law enforcement, emergency services, hospitals, corporations and more.

As such, the services that Chaplains provide are far reaching and varied providing counseling, education, advocacy, life improvement skills, juvenile, court and family mediation, emergency, disaster & crisis services, recovery training, and providing a bridge between the secular and spiritual environments of community life throughout the world.

Our Ministry

VISION

It is our desire to see chaplains who are professionally trained, certified, licensed and equipped, providing meaningful, life changing service to the communities in which they live and serve in through involvement in every sector of community life, without discrimination.

MISSION

To provide practical community support and spiritual counsel to all first responders, emergency service workers, those in crisis, secular society and those persons in transition by meeting their needs. Professionally trained, certified and licensed chaplains will provide counsel, education, advocacy, life improvement skills and recovery training, providing a bridge between the secular and spiritual environments of community life throughout the world.

We believe that God is using the Chaplaincy ministry as a movement, mobilizing His Church to leave the building, going into the world, being the church without the walls, “Providing Care and Service In Jesus Name.”

With a little liberty I use Mark 16:15 “He said to them, “Go ye there, and deploy as a Chaplain, into all the world, and help those lost in the state of confusion or disaster, and preach the gospel, with out using words, to every creature.”

MINISTRY MODEL

Just as Abraham was asked to go, with no idea where he was going, and the Lord revealed to him when it was time to stop, so to, has He been leading us. Along the way we have met and received insight from many people and have determined the following objectives for this ministry:

  • To utilize best practices in training Chaplains to be professional and responsible (IFOC licensing agency)
  • To recruit & equip for service those who have a heart to serve.
  • To develop resources and allies, for the work of this ministry .
  • To mobilize and encourage Chaplains to participate and assist in the development of practical community based projects.
  • To be a blessing to every agency and ministry partner  that we work with.
  • To be wise stewards of this ministry that the Lord has given to us, seeking His direction and desire for what He has called us to do.
